You DO have a core, but you may not remember how to access or engage it. Pilates helps you reconnect with your deep core and find your latent strength.

Pilates is total body conditioning that develops strength and flexibility. Pilates was developed by Joseph H. Pilates throughout his life in Europe and brought to the U.S. when he moved here in 1926. He was a sickly child but was introduced to gymnastics, body-building, and martial arts while young, and he dedicated his life to fitness.

While we often think of pilates as requiring fancy equipment, the original method relied on nothing but the human body. Mat pilates is a wonderful practice to tone and strengthen muscles and to bring the body into balance. By increasing mind-body connections and awareness of our core, or “powerhouse”, we learn how to engage our muscles for optimal movement.

Real-life reviews…

Ginny B.

“I have been practicing yoga with Molly for close to 2 years, and it is one of the best decisions I have made for my health and fitness. She is an amazing teacher who encourages and challenges her students to a level of practice that is right for them. I have been surprised and pleased by the improvement in flexibility, energy, strength, and function; as well as a decrease of discomfort in my joints and spine. It also has helped with relaxation and anxiety.”

“I had no prior yoga experience before starting classes with Molly.  I had always been curious about yoga, but was a little nervous because I had never practiced before. I am so thankful that I overcame my nervousness and attended that first yoga class.

Molly made everyone feel at ease and safe with no judgement. I was amazed at the change in how I felt after just a few classes.  Yoga has helped me to relieve stress from my work day as well as improve in strength, balance, and flexibility.”

“I feel so lucky to have Molly as my yoga instructor. It is so refreshing to practice yoga with Molly and other teachers I work with after school. Molly is welcoming, nonjudgemental and even-tempered. She communicates clearly and has a true passion for teaching. She checks in with us at the beginning of the class and asks for our input for how we are feeling and what our bodies need to work on. All this with a positive attitude!”
